Internet Governance Dummies Guide

Each participant will receive a guide to help navigate the discussions and implications between information and society, and the problems arise from the Internet. With reference to the viewpoints from different stakeholders, the guide aims to give participants mutiple perspectives on the same issue and challenges faced in hope of steering towards a solution. This is your ultimate guide for liberal studies exams.

Netizen Boot Camp

7 - 8 July 2018
Venue: Chinese University of Hong Kong

The 2-day overnight camp is a pre-summit training with interactive and fun activities to immerse participants with the current hot topics of the Internet related to young people such as fake news, social media privacy and security, AR/VR and STEM, etc. The camp features simulation games, multi-stakeholders role play which allows students to learn how to foster constructive discussions and drive towards a consensus.

Youth Internet Summit 

21 July 2018
Venue: Chinese University of Hong Kong

The Youth Internet Summit is a 1-day roundtable providing opportunities for the youth participants to share their views on the selected discussion themes with distinguished guests speakers from the Internet industry. The discussions from the Summit will be developed as a youth statement to be submitted to the IGF and shared among the global Internet community. Outstanding participants with full attendance of the camp will be selected to represent HKYIGF 2018 at the IGF.
